Every lesson with Brandon is excellent. He encourages me to develop my own projects and set my own agenda, and at the same time, he has fascinating topics of his own to introduce. For example, in our last lesson he explained a mathematical modeling thesis he is preparing on brain tumors as part of his math studies. He is a brilliant young man, and we also have a lot of fun in our lessons.

OMG WOW AMAZING. Completely impressed. Felt so comfortable and was super professional. He was easy going which is exactly what I wanted. It was important to me to feel like I was chatting with a friend and to take learning seriously in tandem. Excited to work with Brandon ongoing and have weekly sessions. Brandon is super sharp and very attentive to details. If you've read this from me before, it's because it's always true. I'm translating more bird field trip narratives into Spanish for bilingual presentation at 2 bird festivals in 2022. Very exciting, and Brandon is his usual great self with the process!

I really enjoy my lessons with Brandon. As someone who only starting learning Spanish 5 months ago, the fact that I can have an hour long conversation in Spanish—without deciding on the topic of conversation beforehand—is really boosting my confidence. Brandon is really easy to talk to and engaging. I appreciate that he doesn't correct every small mistake I make, but he does correct the big ones (or the ones I make repeatedly). As well as learning Spanish, I'm also learning so much about Mexico from him; truly "dos pájaros de un tiro", to quote a phrase I learned today.

With Brandon's help, I'm translating a 3rd bird program into Spanish for use at our 2022 Bird Festival. My challenge will be to re-learn the bird names in my 2nd language and be able to answer questions well enough for that. Since I already conduct bilingual whale and wildlife tours, I am grateful for Brandon's guidance and am planning to move forward.

I had previously finished a translation of my children's book from English into Spanish with Brandon's guidance, but tonight we finished going through it a second time to look closely at any fine points. Brandon is sharp on details, and constantly looked to be both faithful to the English while helping me use Spanish expressions that are commonly understood in Mexico and Central America.
