As a teacher, I aim to inspire my students. I try to do this by getting to know them and their interests. I believe that building a good, positive relationships allows for maximum learning for both parties. I am a relaxed teacher where my sessions are guided by my students interests and goals. I am gentle and patient but organised and mindful that there must be continuous progress towards meeting our goals. I believe that the best way to learn English is through conversation, so I encourage this aspect to my sessions as much as possible.Mes ressources d'enseignement

TEFL - i-to-i - 2020This certificate is a 120 hour course in Teaching English in a Foreign Language (TEFL). It provided me with skills to prepare lessons, teach English using various games, skills and techniques. The course also provided lessons on the importance of teaching the four skills of English; speaking, writing, reading and listening.

Group leaderI was part of a team that trained and implemented a literacy programme for 6 year olds (Grade R), called BuddingQ. Teaching literacy skills to young children taught me important teaching values, techniques and the importance of positive energy and encouragement.

StoogeDuring my time at Ardingly College, I had various jobs. These jobs included beginners swimming teacher, Grade 1 and Grade 2 classroom assistant and preparatory school boarding house assistant. These jobs have given me experience with teaching young children, working on English reading and pronunciation for beginners as well as finding common ground as a foundation to building good relationships with my students of all ages.
