Hi, I’m Annie. I’m from Jamaica the country of Reggae Music and the fastest man on the planet. I am a certified TEFL teacher and I have a four-year bachelor’s degree in business. In my free time, I write poetry and several of my poems have been published. I am fascinated by other cultures and I enjoy making new discoveries about them. In addition, I’m currently learning Korean.

My goal is to help you speak English with confidence by improving your fluency. All classes are tailored to your specific needs, time, and interest. I use the Communicative Approach which is based on the idea that learning a language successfully comes through having to communicate real meaning. Hence, classes focus primarily on conversational English. In this approach, the objective is to present a topic in context to the learner as natural as possible as this is a highly effective way to help the language acquisition process. However, a grammatical syllabus forms the foundation of all lessons I teach and builds a framework to help learners acquire the English language.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

Our first lesson will focus on your English goals and the creation of a specific plan to help you achieve those goals. All lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each student and are presented in a manner that allows you to feel comfortable, ask questions and express yourself. The structure of my lessons/courses contain a functional syllabus alongside a focus on a grammatical syllabus, thus providing learners with communicatively useful expressions together with a structured syllabus with a clear sense of progression. Some lessons will mainly have a conversational focus, where we will discuss various topics of your choice or I can suggest fascinating topics.
