Hello! I am a professional English teacher and I have been teaching for more than 4 years. I've taught a variety of students. I teach children, teenagers, and adults of all levels. I consider myself to be a fun, encouraging and supportive individual. I am passionate about helping people through education and to help people communicative effectively whether it is in the work place or socially. I would love to help you learn English so I hope to meet you soon for a trial lesson!

Moi en tant que professeur

I like to keep my lessons interactive and to make sure my students feel comfortable. I consider myself to be an energetic, patient and kind individual that often help students feel encouraged to learn. My working and teaching experiences enabled me to develop excellent communication and organisation skills which are very important skills to utilize as a teacher. I have four years in-person teaching experience involving native and non-native English learners. I have taught adults and children of various ages and cultures.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

During lessons, I often made use of the Total Physical Response method as in my opinion the approach is fun, easy and kept the learners engaged. It provided me with the tool that created memorable meaning through movement. I also made use of the PPP teaching method as it is easy for the students to follow the lesson and allows the lessons to be interactive. I like to keep my class full of color, fun and lots of energy for kids as it assists in keeping the learners engaged and focused. I try to personalize the target material when teaching adults as they can learn better when they can relate to the material.

TEFL - i-to-t - 2019In order to obtain the certificate I had to successfully pass three assignments that required me to plan and execute three lesson plans. I had to plan lessons to teach vocabulary, grammar and reading skills. Each lesson was aimed at different levels of students. The lesson had to be carefully planned to take the ages of the students into consideration as well as anticipated problems students might have from different countries.

I reviewed class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments. I had to prepared lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals.

Horse Riding InstructorPrivate - Johannesburg, Afrique du SudDuring lessons, I gave practical demonstrations of riding activities. I also had to demonstrate responsibility and professional duty of care to clients which included communication skills and a focus of customer care orientation. Lessons had to be adapted to target group in the most fitted manner in regards to the teaching context or the age group. Constructive feedback had to be given through both criticism and praise in a respectful, clear, and consistent manner.
