After graduated from university, I worked as an English teacher in Macau and flew all the way to the United States where I had no friends and family. 來美後已取得美國小學教育、特殊教育、初中數學教育以及中文老師的資格證，現在在一家位於大西雅圖的美國雙語公立小學當資源老師。 After I moved to the United States, I got my Washington State teaching certificate, endorsed in World Language (Chinese), and Elementary Education, Special Education, and Middle School Mathematics. Now, I’m working as a Resource Room teacher at a Chinese-English Bilingual School in the Great Seattle Area.

Xaveria was the first teacher I tried on this site. 1 year later I’ve made a lot of progress and had a lot of fun along the way. She has the best way of teaching in my opinion by using as much Cantonese (or Mandarin) in the lessons as possible. Encouraging, funny, and puts a lot of passion into her work. 谢谢你黄老师! 😭😭😭

Xaviera continues to find fun topics to talk about. She's very engaged and encourages me to try to pronounce new words. Writing down the phonetics gives me materials to practice during the week. My only regret was not trying italki sooner! Thanks again & see you next time! =D

It has been a year since our first lesson and within that time I am amazed by the progress we have made since then. I’m so grateful to have found Teacher Xaviera on here, she has helped me to go from practically an HSK 1-2 level to starting to move onto HSK 4 grammar points.

Another fantastic lesson! Each lesson is more enjoyable than the last. Xaviera is a truly gifted teacher. She has an uncanny intuition on how to clearly express ideas using vocabulary just above the level of your understanding to challenge you without being overwhelming. Thank you!
