I have been teaching ESL for a total of over 30 years, and have been a certified ESL teacher for over 24 years. My passion for teaching comes from my own love of learning languages. I currently speak five languages, and am looking forward to learning more! My firsthand understanding of the challenges one faces when learning a new language gives me a rare insight into how to address students' needs. One of my specialties is bringing students out of their shells, helping them overcome shyness or fear around making mistakes. Please note: I DO NOT ACCEPT LESSON REQUESTS WITHOUT SKYPE ID. I DO NOT USE ITALKI CLASSROOM. I ACCEPT LESSON REQUESTS ONLY FROM STUDENTS AGED 15 AND UP. Each lesson is customized, because students’ needs and goals can change over time. What I expect from students is their commitment to improve their English, and to keep an open mind and heart. I only use total immersion in my lessons. Trust me, it really works! I also use visual aids and links to helpful reference materials when needed. For instance, for students preparing for the USMLE, we use the USMLE Step 2 CS prep book. For students who prefer to discuss TV shows in class, we choose a specific episode/movie ahead of time.
