Hello I'm Simon. I like travelling, listening to music, playing guitar, going out with friends, playing computer games, watching TV, riding motorbike, reading books about financial and technical stuff and a lot more. I work as an engineer but I also worked as a computer specialist. If you can't find an open slot in my calendar just write me a message and we'll find a suitable time.

Moi en tant que professeur

I had some freelancer jobs as a translator and teacher already. Furthermore I've learned 4 foreign languages so far (English, French, Spanish, Japanese) and can therefore very well understand the problems beginners are facing when learning a new language. I've also lived in the French speaking part of swiss for more than 3 years. I enjoy teaching people things, especially in languages. I always try to speak slow, clearly and simplify my sentences if I realize the student can't keep up with me. I'm also very patient and give general advice on how to learn a language.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

In my lessons we'll talk and read a lot and practice speaking/pronounciation, but I'll also explain grammar if I realize the student has specific problems. I can use a variety of utilities (skype, messenger, presentations, books, e-books, screen sharing...) and I'll adapt to the student. Due to my occupational career I can also teach some business english and some specialized technical fields. I'm not only teaching vocabulary and grammar but also general advices on how to learn a language more efficiently. I always try to motivate my students and give them an honest feedback.

Simon is an amazing teacher and every single lesson with him is a fun one! It's never boring and we also find topics to discuss. Simon definitely cares about what I say and how I say it. If something doesn't sound right, he always corrects my sentences/phrases. Another great thing about Simon is his perfect English. When I don't know how to say something in German, I can easily explain it in English and will be understood and given a right translation. Overall, I am super pleased to have lessons with Simon and don't even want to consider any other teachers.
