I have tutored for two years at the College of Charleston in German, French and Portuguese, as well as taught the beginning conversation courses for Portuguese students. During these positions, I worked a lot with textbooks and lesson plans, but I normally will adapt the students wants and needs to make sure they feel at ease and comfortable in order to learn the best they possibly can.
As stated, my current work is with professionals, but I have experience with various profiles and am trained to work with students of various cultural backgrounds, learning styles, and ages. In addition, I can proficiently explain grammar in Spanish, Italian, Polish, and Dutch apart from my C2 languages. Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
I enjoy to emphasize the spoken language and show my students the building blocks of each language before diving into grammar exercises and difficult reading comprehension. I often review with my students in their native language grammatical terms, for example, what is a verb, adverb., so that they are sure to comprehend these terms correctly in their native language before discussing them in a foreign one. Afterwords, my lessons are mainly focused on what the student would like to review, but I have been trained in speaking, reading, writing, and listening comprehension in case the student is looking for a more traditional approach.
