Hi! My name is Tamilla, and I've been teaching English full-time for 4 years! I am a NATIVE English speaker. I was born in Russia, but raised in the United States. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Miami University, and at the moment I live in the beautiful country of Mexico. I'm a language & literature enthusiast, and I have been learning languages my entire life! I believe that new languages can change our worldview, and allow us to understand new cultures and lifestyles. As I teach you English, I will also teach you American culture and perspective. In my free time, I love reading, going to the gym, doing yoga, and hiking in the mountains.

Moi en tant que professeur

I teach students from all over the world, and we talk about every topic imaginable. I love to teach casual conversation, to help my students sound more like native speakers. I also teach "business English," which helps students sound more professional at work. I am a very patient teacher. Many of my students are complete beginners, and I work slowly and focus on the basics. My accent is completely neutral, and very easy to understand! My lessons are always fun! It doesn't matter what the topic is, or the student's level of English. We always have a great time in class, because being relaxed and having fun is a great way to improve speaking skills.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

My teaching style is "conversational." We will have conversations about many different topics. We'll learn new vocabulary words, and we'll practice using phrases that native speakers use on a daily basis. When I make corrections I like to write them in the chat, where the student can see them during the class and also save them to study later. If a student needs a lot of help with grammar, we do activities that can help them practice a specific area, such as prepositions. We also practice for real-life situations, such as talking about work responsibilities.
