As an active learner of several languages, I can understand many of the challenges that my students face. My goal is to provide a teaching environment where my students feel they can express as freely as they want, and are not afraid to make mistakes. It is also my opinion that learning, like many things in life, is more about the process than the destination, so keeping students engaged and interested is what I aim for in every lesson.
I believe that understanding the culture is essential to learning any language. That's why in my lessons, I will try to introduce my students to some cultural background, drawing from my own personal experiences wherever I can. Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My teaching style is quite relaxed, and I can tailor the lesson based on my student’s needs and interests. Having said that, I believe the best way to learn any language is through casual conversations with a native speaker, hence the lessons will generally be informal and conversational.

My fourth lesson with Ricky so far. He continues to show up on time and prepared for a great lesson. I feel I am progressing and I can attribute a significant amount of that to having Ricky continually guiding me in my cantonese learning journey. I look forward to continuing on in for the following months

I had a really great lesson with Ricky today. I learnt lots of useful spoken expressions (including several ways to say someone got fired) and we discussed the difference between written and colloquial Cantonese. Ricky takes a lot of time to prepare for his classes and his enthusiasm for teaching his language makes them all the more enjoyable. Thank you so much!
