I am a CELTA-qualified teacher with 6 years' experience working privately with adults from intermediate to advanced level. I specialise in Pronunciation and I can help you recognise sounds (with your ears and the phonetic symbols), physically and technically produce them and I can also show you the rules for choosing the right sound based on spelling. I love teaching the many quick tricks that English pronunciation and grammar have in order to understand the logic of the language, so once you have mastered those elements, you can focus on expanding your ability to express yourself accurately and in a more nuanced and colourful way, which is what makes languages fun and empowering. I like challenging my students and guiding them towards self-correction based on the analysis of the mistakes they make. I want them to reach the point where, when they make a mistake (which can happen at any level), they are aware of it, as I strongly believe that this is the first step towards improvement and command of a language.
