I am a native New Yorker, from NYC. I am able to speak conversational Cantonese (but am not fluent). I accept all international students. My lessons are great for immigrants living in the USA who are practicing for their American citizenship exam, those who are looking for international employment or as exchange students in English speaking countries, or those who are interested in joining the US military as an exchange member or as a contractor. I have a C2 rating (which is the highest level you can achieve) on my Oxford Online Placement Test (OOPT), scoring over 100 in each category.

Moi en tant que professeur

I am a certified Social Studies teacher in the USA, for grades 4-12. I've been able to live in many places because of my husband's military career, and have experienced many different cultures and ethnicities. Since I am an actual licensed teacher, I am not just a random person who knows how to speak English — I have years of actual classroom and teaching experience.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

My method of teaching when it comes to language is immersion. I, myself, have studied French for many years, and the best way to learn a new language is to have a real conversation with a structured lesson with a native speaker; so those who are interested in learning American-English should watch American TV shows, listen to American music, read American newspapers, etc. Depending on what your goals are, I will base our lessons towards what you're looking to accomplish. I can start with someone at the beginner's level to someone who is a professional looking to be fluent in the workplace.
