My name is Jenny and I have been learning languages for 28 years. I can speak French and German at B2 level and Italian at B1 level, and I am learning Swedish, Spanish and Hindi. I am also preparing to take the Goethe-Zertifikat at C1 level in German. I have a MA (Hons) in Italian with Linguistics and a MSc with Merit in Philosophy. I love reading, watching movies, listening to music... and of course, learning languages! I love to chat about life, the universe and everything - from the fun to the serious. Sports, history, culture, science, food, films, travel, philosophy... anything! :)

Moi en tant que professeur

**I teach all levels: A1-C2.** **I teach adults and children aged 13 years old and over.** I completed an introductory TEFL course while I was at university and I have been a community tutor on iTalki since 2013. I graduated with honours in Italian with Linguistics. I have in-depth knowledge of grammar and phonology in English specifically, but also to some extent in other languages, which I can use in my lessons in addition to conversation practice.

Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement

I customise all lessons to the student's level and learning preferences, which I ascertain in the first lesson. I aim to provide a relaxed space for asking questions and developing the confidence to use the language - even on unfamiliar topics - without worrying about minor mistakes. I use English almost exclusively and aim to strike a balance with the student between accuracy and fluency. I focus the lessons on topics of interest or use to the student given their specified aims. I can offer conversation practice, grammar notes, pronunciation guidance, flashcards and post-lesson feedback, depending on the student's preferences.
