Essendo laureata in Comunicazione Linguistica e Interculturale all'Università di Bari conosco benissimo la difficoltà che uno studente può riscontrare nell'approcciarsi a una nuova lingua. Io stessa, nel mio viaggio di apprendimento dell'inglese, tedesco e francese, ho incontrato svariati problemi. Ma sono profondamente convinta che con le giuste strategie e metodi non esistano ostacoli insormontabili! Preparerò ogni lezione in base alle esigenze dei miei studenti (grammatica, conversazione, pronuncia, vocabolario, ecc.) cercando di colmare qualsiasi possibile debolezza e consolidando gli aspetti già ben sviluppati.

Ti guiderò nell'apprendimento. Metterò a tua disposizione le mie competenze, la mia esperienza e la mia conoscenza dell'italiano e del siciliano (ho studiato anche il latino e il greco antico). Non insegno ai bambini. I will guide you in learning. I will put at your disposal my skills, my experience and my knowledge of Italian and Sicilian (I also studied Latin and ancient Greek). Studio lingue straniere fin da bambina e questo mi permette di essere sempre anche “dall’altra parte”, cioè di capire la persona che ho davanti, come si sente davanti alle difficoltà ma anche alle soddisfazioni che imparare una lingua straniera comporta. Cerco di essere l’insegnante che, da studentessa, vorrei avere: qualcuno che mi aiuti a trovare il mio stile di apprendimento personale o che, se già lo conosco, adatti metodologie e materiali a queste mie caratteristiche personali. La preparazione delle lezioni per me è una fase fondamentale: cerco sempre di trovare argomenti interessanti e stimolanti e modi di usare questi materiali che siano adatti ai bisogni specifici dei miei studenti.

I have taught Italian and Latin in public schools in Italy for about ten years. Currently I teach mainly Italian for foreigners, in particular for foreign managers who need professional/business Italian courses for their companies' activity. I can also offer specialized Italian courses for doctors and lawyers. I still remember my first Italian lesson: it was amazing, because I immediately understood that I loved what I was doing, and time passed in a blink of an eye! I always do my best for every student and when I see that my students, lesson after lesson, become able to speak their target language and that they follow the courses with pleasure, it makes me love this work more and more.

I have a degree in Law, a Master in Development, and a certification in teaching Italian to foreigners (CEDILS) from the University of Venezia. I have been teaching Italian for 4 years to students from different nationalities at an International School and through private lessons. I taught children, teenagers, and adults from beginners to advanced level. My students described me as a warm and empathetic person and they enjoyed learning with me in a relaxed atmosphere.

I have a Master’s degree in foreign languages taken at the University of Catania. I have been teaching for about 8 years now. I started working at one of the local hospitals in town where I taught English and Spanish to medicine students and doctors. In 2015 I set up a school of languages which I run and where I still teach English and Italian today (along with other fellow teachers). I’m a qualified TEFL teacher, qualification that I got by joining a 120-hour TEFL course, held at school, given by an expert TEFL teacher, and I have got a Certificate of Proficiency in English (level C2). Moreover, I have worked for many companies based in my city.

I really care about being professional. At the same time, during my lessons I like to maintain a relaxed atmosphere based on mutual respect and sociability. In my opinion these requirements. are fundamental for a successful process of learning. As a versatile person I plan the courses to achieve the target expressed by the student, but I am always available to discuss and explain in depth particular subjects. My organisation/preparation of the courses is versatile, and it favours the preferences of each student, so as to achieve their goals.

I work for a language school in Rome both in group and in one-to-one classes. I’m a teacher trainer, too. I make myself available for any doubts you might have between our lessons and I offer specific extra services to boost your learning process and tackle any difficulties you're facing in specific areas of the language (for example you can understand the language but you can't speak; sometimes the opposite can also occur).

Before becoming a teacher I was a language student like you. Therefore I can relate to your embarrassment in speaking. I am a professional Italian teacher with DITALS II Certification of the University for Foreigners of Siena. I have been teaching for 8 years, both in schools and as a private teacher. My name is Valeria and I am a professional Italian Teacher. I hold a Ph.D in Chinese Studies, M.A in Comparative Studies and I have 6 years of teaching experience at Chinese Universities as well as one to one tutoring in the UK. I have specialised in teaching to Chinese speakers who wish to study in Italy, to European professionals who work for Italian companies, and to retirees passionate about culture and travels. I've been working as a language teacher since 2014. I began teaching Italian and German in 2019 and is now my job. In March I did the CEDILS exam to be a certified teacher of Italian. My goal-oriented lessons focus on the goals of the students and on developing simultaneously the 4 skills of language learning: Listening , Speaking , Reading , and Writing.
