As a teacher I am very patient, speaking slowly and carefully and checking the student’s pronunciation and understanding. I am able to think of and present new ways of explaining a particular point should the student have difficulty in understanding. I am professional in my manner and appearance and have excellent time keeping. I believe in constructive criticism and also lots of praise to give the student confidence.

I have been teaching for the last eleven years and have experience of working in a range of educational establishments. In terms of ESL, I am an Cambridge Oral examiner for their international exams ( A2-C1) and have experience of preparing students for these exams. I have extensive experience of preparing students for IELTS exams and teaching students online, particularly the speaking and writing components of the exams. Also I am an IB examiner and have taught Business Management, English B and the Theory of Knowledge.

I love teaching, I have 8 years teaching experience in Thailand, teaching English as a second language (ESL) to a wide range of students from Elementary level right through to PhD Students. I kind of fell into teaching when I came to live here in Thailand, I was asked to help at the local school teaching conversation skills to the local students. I really enjoyed this and wanted to do more, I got the teaching bug! I applied for a TEFL/TESOL course and on completion started teaching at a high school, after a few years I went freelance and started to teach at Universities all over South-east Asia.

As stated in my introduction video, I am a TEFL certified ESL English teacher. I have five years experience teaching English as a second language to people of all ages. I believe in using many forms of media in my lessons to allow for more creative learning. Videos, PPTs, songs, flashcards- whatever your interest, I'm confident I can find the best way to help you learn with ease.

I aim to be friendly and helpful in my lessons. I hope that you will enjoy the lesson while your English improves. I am an experienced teacher and I always try to make my lessons varied and interesting. I will help to develop your fluency and communication skills; at the same time I'll work to identify particular areas of your English to improve together through error correction and more focussed exercises. Just a quick note - I don't have teaching materials for children so if you are looking for a tutor for a child please find someone who is more of a specialist in teaching children.

In 2008 I enrolled on a teacher training course in Peru and I have been teaching English ever since. I am familiar with the latest TEFL techniques and I will help you learn my language whatever your level. All you need is a little dedication and perseverance! I love my job and I mostly teach adults but also children from age 9 upwards. I have a neutral, easily understood British accent, perfect for teaching English. I have a lot of patience and I am particularly proficient in teaching English to native Spanish speakers, but it really doesn't matter where you are from.

I'm a fun loving person and love teaching people with all that I have. I like to interact on different topics and subjects and make learning easy and seemless. I prefer teaching a language in the form of a casual and fun communication. People can talk to me about anything and everything. I've been teaching and helping my fellow classmates and friends with their communication and few other subjects like space science, technology, automobiles etc.

Teaching is a family profession. Afterwards, I started working very young, and have continued teaching ever since for more than 22 years. I’ve taught various groups: from kindergarten all the way up to post-graduate. A teacher should always study and continue to learn. So through my career I’ve gathered many certificates, diplomas and other documents including TOEFL Test preparation, First Certificate, Advanced Reading, Teaching by Competences, etc. Graduated with a minor in Human Resources, I’ve also studied ESL for business skills like job interviews, accounting, importing and exporting in North America, and customer service.

I understand the value of clear and concise communication in the business world, particularly when conveying complex technical subject matter. As an online educator, I’ve coached a myriad of Asian business professionals including financial and real estate investors, bankers, engineers, salespeople, data analysts, and even doctors! Students have complimented me for my passion, professionalism, attention to detail, and my ability to guide them patiently and politely. I appreciate it when students can identify improvements and make necessary corrections on their own. I have previously worked as an Au Pair in France, teaching both young children and teenagers English. So whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced I am happy to help in any way I can! I also help my language exchange partners with English practice on a regular basis. If you are a French speaker I am also able to explain concepts and grammar points to you in French for further clarification.

Back in 2011, I trained for the Trinity College TESOL Certification in London (UK). As soon as I graduated, I was hired by the language school to begin teaching students. After a few months, I moved to Seville (Spain) and began teaching at a language academy in Seville (Spain). I also became a coordinator for TESOL Spain, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing continued training and support to teachers of English. After a number of years, I moved to Buenos Aires (Argentina) and began working as a human resources consultant for multinational organisations. I continued to teach English independently and on a freelance basis.

Since 2015 I have taught full time to students from 13 to 65 years of age, from basic academic skills to advanced business levels (for companies like Amazon, LinkedIn, Burger King and Walmart), and to people from all continents; always adapting to their needs. I got my certification as a foreign language teacher from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2019. I can switch from English to Spanish or vice versa if needed (but I generally prefer only to speak in the language I teach), and I can also support with different accents, formal expressions or slang. I have helped others presenting international certifications such as the IELTS, TOEFL and USA and Mexico citizenship.

My accent is neutral having both North American and British exposure, so is especially useful to those thinking of travelling to either the UK or US. I offer a speciality lesson "English Conversations about Business" which may be of interest to those pursuing a business career. This course is an introduction to a wide range of business topics and may be beneficial to you before considering enrolling in a more advanced Business English course. But whether you are interested in Business, or just everyday Conversational English, I can help you.

I am patient and understanding and this is reflected in my teaching style. My students must feel comfortable and their confidence must be built up in order to become proficient speakers of English. My best quality as a teacher is the ability to recognise the individuals needs and plan my classes accordingly. Having previously taught people with no background in English whatsoever, to highly proficient speakers, my experience is notable! I adapt my lessons to the needs and interests of my learners while making my classes fun and engaging.

I am a TEFL certified English teacher, and Cambridge certified IELTS teacher, and have taught English to adults for over 10 years both in classrooms and online. I specialise preparing students for the IELTS exam. I teach intermediate to advanced students who want to take their English to the next level.
