Finally, teaching is such a profession that no matter who, what, when, where or why, you will always be learning something new; as I teach my students, they teach me as well.

I don't believe in boring sessions. I truly do believe that learning should be fun. I don't care how shy you are, I know I will be able to make you feel more confident in your speaking and comprehension skills. I don't have a typical lesson plan. Here in China I found a lot of people, both kids and adults that wanted to speak or learn from foreigners. As such I slowly learned how to teach people. Now I feel confident to teach English as well as Dutch. Teaching is a lot of fun to me, seeing students grow from beginners into full native speakers is great. After a long career in financial services, I have decided to take a different direction and have moved into a new field of Information Technology. Being in a business environment for a very long time gave me an advantage in business speech and communication however due to my technical pursuit I am able to converse even on the most technical of topics.

There isn't a clear boundary between "Me as a Teacher" and "Me as someone else". I think this is the best description about me: Teaching is my life. I am devoted to it so I can't separate myself into various faces. All I have is one face; my teaching face. Passionate, boisterous and dynamic, these are the adjectives that best describe my attitude toward teaching and "Me as a Teacher".

I've been teaching for 2 years in a high school in the morning and some language schools in the afternoon. I also gave some private classes to students that needed to improve their school marks or were preparing for the Cambridge First Certificate. Due to the fact I love studying languages myself, I feel I have the tools to understand how different people learn, and that learning should be interesting and fun. I understand a language as a system, so you just need to understand the logic of this system and then practice it. We'll do lots of exercises and of course practice lots of SPEAKING. Also during our lessons I'm trying to reach the best balance between grammar, vocabulary, and reading. It can both formal and informal lessons. ! Cancelation policy! I also teach "business English," which helps students sound more professional at work. I am a very patient teacher.
