I love it to teach and to learn. To share knowledge is one of the best things. We have the ability to constantly learn something. And if we´re enjoying it then learning becomes easy and that helps us to reach our goals faster. And if some things need more time then we should accept it and not give up. If the seed is planes the flower will bloom when time is right. Many of my students said and are saying that I´m funny – I believe them. In that case I guess our lessons could be fun but I´m also patient, helpful, and supportive.

I can help you learn basics of German, English or Croatian language; teach you commonly used expressions, conversational phrases, or just help you with your school lessons or homework. You can also select a topic you are interested in, and I can prepare it for our next language session so you can practice speaking, learn grammar rules, or whatever you think you want to improve.

Ich begann mit dem Unterrichten von Hochdeutsch 2017 während eines Auslandssemesters. Als ich Italki entdeckte, spezialisierte ich mich auf Zürcherdeutsch und helfe seither Einwanderern bei ihrer Integration in der Schweiz. Das Level variiert dabei von Beginnern bis hinzu Fortgeschrittenen. Aus Mangel an guten Unterrichtsmaterialien habe ich im Verlauf der Jahre meinen eigenen Kurs mit einer Vielzahl verschiedener Übungstypen zusammengestellt. Ich biete auch weiterhin Unterricht in Hochdeutsch an und kann eventuell auch bei weiteren Schweizer Dialekten weiterhelfen.

I have previously taught German and English in China and Thailand and what I noticed there was that many students after some point reach a plateau where their vocabulary is not improving that much anymore because they are discussing the same topics again and again. So as a teacher I like to focus on expanding my students' vocabulary so they can reach the next level of language learning through conversation, whether this means going from basic to intermediate or intermediate to advanced. During my lessons I create a comfortable enviroment where you can really try things out without having to be afraid of making mistakes.

I love sharing knowledge and ideas and I am very patient. When teaching I create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and where you can experience the joy of learning a new language. Making mistakes is very welcome and a big chance of learning. If you don´t find a suitable time in my calendar, you can always ask me to open another slot.

Language lessons can be fun, but language-learning is certainly time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. I am therefore aiming at establishing collaborative relationships with my clients to keep them inspired and motivated throughout our journey. In schools and language courses, languages often get analyzed rather than practiced which is why so many people make no progress after "studying a language" for months. Learning a language is like painting in the sense that you don't need to know the atomic structure of colors to be able to paint a nice picture. In this same way you don't need to know all the rules and technical terms to successfully use a language. In my lessons you will actively practice speaking German without worrying to much about the mistakes which will ultimately make it more fun and enjoyable for you.
