Learn Japanese with private Japanese teachers

I have been teaching at a Japanese school for children as well as beginner adults. I am a very enthusiastic and passionate about everything I do, and I like to motivate my students to be the same. わたし　は　にほんご　がっこう　で、　しょしんしゃ　から　じょうきゅうしゃ　まで にほんご　を　おしえて　います。 せいと　さん　を　はげましながら　いつも　ぜんりょく　で　おしえて　います。

僕は英語をほとんど独学で学びました。 テキストブック、映画やドラマ、YouTubeやアプリなど、 様々な媒体を通して学習を試みてきました。 そしてオーストラリアで暮らしている今も、 毎日が学びの連続です。 ここでは、僕と同じ様に独学で日本語の学習をしている方の手助けができれば幸いです。 僕は日本語教師の資格等は持っていませんが、 同じ言語学習者として共感できる部分が多々あると信じています。 I learned English mostly by myself. I've tried to learn English through various media such as textbooks, movies, dramas, YouTube and apps. And even now, living in Australia Every day is a learning experience. Here on italki, I hope to help people who are learning Japanese on their own, just like me. I am not a certified Japanese language teacher. But I believe that there are many things I can relate to as a language learner.

わたしは日本語(にほんご)の先生(せんせい)になるために、学校(がっこう)に行(い)き、420時間(じかん)の授業(じゅぎょう)を受(う)けました。日本語(にほんご)の先生（せんせい）の試験(しけん)も合格(ごうかく)しました。今(いま)はカフェで生徒(せいと)に、JLPT N4のための授業(じゅぎょう)をしています。 I went to the school for Japanese langurage teachers for foreigners and took 420 hours of course.　Also I passed Japanese teaching ability test for Japanese teachers. Now I am teaching a student for coming JLPT N4 test at cafe.

When I was 19, I lived in England for 8 months studying English and Music. The first 2 month was very difficult for me as I could not speak any English at all.  Before I went to England, I only studied English words and grammar but this really didn't help me much at all.  I quickly realised how important it is to do a lot of conversation practice when learning a new language.

Since November 2017, I have been working as a Community Tutor at Italki. Besides classes on the Internet, I also teach in the classroom. My students range from junior high school to adults of all ages. I have also had lessons with kindergarten students and elementary school children. I love studying foreign languages myself. Even though sometimes I feel I have run into a brick wall. Still, I feel that I improve rapidly in one day if I work hard and don’t give up！

I'm a qualified Japanese teacher completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language course, passing the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test, and earning a master's degree in Translation Studies. So far, I’ve been involved in several linguistic projects like translation, localisation and annotation for NLP. I specialise in the area of connotation, implication, and nuance of words and sentences. I’ve been teaching Japanese to learners of various levels, first languages, and professional backgrounds.
