As a teacher I work with all levels, beginners, intermediate and advanced, I teach Italian to teen and adult students, with over 16 years of teaching experience, so I know exactly the needs of my students, the difficulties that might confront them, and how to help them to overcome these difficulties. I believe I can help you learn or even improve your Italian level with grammar and also with conversation. I teach Italian in an easy, practical and fun way. I will listen to your suggestions and customize and adapt my lessons to meet your individual needs.

I taught Italian in multilingual classes, with people from all over the world, such as Germany, Austria, Brazil, USA, Spain, France, Japan, United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, and many more. Since I live in Spain, I have been an external collaborator of a committee of the Dante Alighieri Society in Asturias and an Italian conversation assistant for middle and high schools. Therefore I have a lot of experience in teaching Italian language to Spanish speakers of all the ages. At the moment, I am a teacher for a Berlitz school in Madrid, giving Italian lessons for business. I am also a recognized trainer and examiner of the CILS exams, authorized by the University for Foreigners of Siena.

I'm a teacher always ready to listen to my student and also very patient. The best way to improve is working together. A lesson should be fun and not with fear.

Teaching is my passion and I like to pass on my mother tongue and culture through teaching. I believe that understanding the motivation and needs of students is essential in establishing the methodology to be applied with each student. I can develop customized programs and learning plans based on the language of origin, age and needs. I always try to understand the reasons and implement the teaching methodology that adapts to the student's profile to accompany him in a spontaneous and simple learning.

I'm always talking about some aspect or another of any language to whoever is around me. I can recognize someone's origin from the first word sometimes. I love phonetics. I taught an American friend how to get rid of his lisp, and a Spanish friend to pronounce French properly. I taught English at the local village here in Costa Rica, and Spanish to the people I live with at the farm (we speak English). I try to teach in a fresh and innovative way, taking the best from many sources.

I've been teaching English(also Italian to foreigners) and collaborating with private Institutes in Italy since 2005. I'm self self-employed with all the pros and cons of that. I have gathered a wide range of experience varying from secondary school students to private One-to-One lesson with the C.E.O of an International well-know Italian Company (Bticino), teaching also the "Italian Tax and Border "Police; conversation classes in High schools; companies adult classes of Business English ; preparing pupils and adults for different kind of exams and certificates, private tutoring, etc etc. Passion, joy and meeting new human beings are the reasons why I keep loving my job!

I worked for various company as a translator and expert advisor. I’ve been teaching privately for over 3 years now, in Skype and Zoom. Teaching online it’s what I really love doing because is so practical and modern, my students loved it. I hope you come have a trial lesson with me.

Mi è sempre piaciuto trasmettere le conoscenze linguistiche in modo comprensibile, arricchendole con esempi e connessioni o con brevi incursioni anche su altri argomenti purché siano funzionali alla nozione. Lascio parlare l'interlocutore cercando di non interromperlo e aiutandolo solo quando necessario, raccogliendo annotazioni sulle eventuali correzioni da comunicare con calma alla fine della conversazione o della frase.

I am a cheerful person and I try to give joy to my students. I think that learning without realising it is the best way to reach a goal. I know that every single student takes their own time to learn. I am very patient and I always wait for an answer. I think that silence is very important too and is not good to force a student to speak when he or she is not completely self-confident. Sono una persona solare e provo a trasmettere allegria ai miei studenti. Penso che imparare divertendosi sia il modo più efficace. Grazie alla mia esperienza so che è importante rispettare i tempi di apprendimento dei singoli studenti.

Before becoming a teacher I was a language student like you. Therefore I can relate to your embarrassment in speaking. I understand when you say that you have a lot of knowledge, but you can’t express yourself as well as you would like to. Been there, done that. I still remember that, even if I knew all the grammar, when it came to speaking I wasn’t able to put together a sentence. Because of that, more than a teacher I want to be a guide, patience, understanding and encouraging. I'll help you in pursuing your goals and make progress in the language. How am I going to do that? I'll listen to your needs and I’ll try to understand what would be helpful for you in order to learn and improve.

I am a calm and positive person. I will help you gain confidence in speaking Italian. We will talk a lot about a vast range of topics. We will decide together the path to follow. It's important we use Italian as much as possible during lessons: if you don't understand a word, I will explain it to you with other simple words so that you learn to think in Italian.

I love teaching because I've always found lovable students who have a lot to share with me in terms of interests and experiences, and it's amazing to give them the possibility to express themselves. I am expert in intermediate levels, so I can help students who are maybe strong at grammar competence or reading skills but still don't arrive to manage a good conversation or to speak fluently. My focus is on practising and getting to know the real culture, avoiding stereotypes about Italian people, and having authentic conversations. I also use strategies to connect the online learning environment with the real context where students live and people around them.
