I’ve been teaching foreign languages for a couple of years now and I have developed as a teacher in both understanding the needs of my students and attuning the teaching materials (of which I have a vast supply) to meet their needs in an engaging and bespoke fashion.

I have been teaching for about two and a half years. I love teaching and it give me a great sense or purpose in life and I always strive to be the best teacher i can. i have been quite lucky as a English teacher because i manage to teach student off all ages and level which in my opinion help's me massively as it prepares me for most situations.

I like to focus on conversation, pronunciation, and intonation. I also teach grammar and practical, functional phrases that will help you to speak confidently in everyday life situations. I will make my sessions interesting and engaging. I will first assess your level and then offer you highly customized language sessions so that you can talk about the topics of your choice. I began teaching in February 2018 when I first came to Taipei, Taiwan. Since then, I've taught all ages, class sizes (including 1-on-1), and language levels. I am currently teaching online, including work for a Taipei-based English school.

I offer the Turkish language from A1 to C1 level. I have various teaching experience in Turkish and I will teach you the basics of the language. I have a B.A in English language and two master's degrees, one in peace and conflict studies and the other in politics. I have many years’ experience working with children of different ages in different capacities. For 3 years I taught children between 3-6 of different backgrounds and levels of English understanding. I had just over a year experience teaching teenagers between 12-18 doing many different activities and lessons. I also coached 15/16-year olds netball. I have au paired for a family and their main reason for employing me was to teach the children English, I used a variety of different activities to help the children improve their English skills. I use many different resources and I enjoy customizing my lesson plans for each student.

I have worked as an ESL teacher the past two years with students from beginner level English to advanced; from as young as 6 years old all the way to an amazing 74 year old Japanese woman who decided to learn so she could travel the world more easily! I believe the best way for me to help you learn faster is to encourage you to make more mistakes faster and to constantly be improving my ability to give useful feedback so you will want to keep going faster.

I did my BA in history and political science and I received 2 teaching certificates (Oxford Seminars TESL and Cambridge's CELTA). I first had experience teaching young children in Hong Kong when I was 20 years old. It was an amazing opportunity to learn and travel, though I wasn't quite ready to devote myself to teaching full time. I finished my degree at McMaster university and worked random jobs before becoming a certified teacher in Montreal. I taught in 2 language schools. I started teaching online because my partner and I decided to move to France for a couple of years. Since then I've been working with italki and I absolutely love it.

My favourite part of teaching is getting to know my students are learning about their cultures. I am also happy when I see my students having fun while learning. I am a professional English teacher with over 5 years teaching English to students from Beginner levels to Advanced. I have experience teaching students of various nationalities, ages and levels. My English accent is neutral and very easy to understand. I have completed a Level 7 Diploma in TESOL, which expanded my knowledge of teaching and improved my teaching techniques.
