2015 - 2018
International Senior TeacherEF Education First - Beijing, ChinaDuring my time teaching in a Beijing language training centre, I taught children from 3 to 16 years, with levels ranging from absolute beginner to CEFR level C.2 (advanced). Starting with only a little experience with ESL, my personal focus was continued development. I achieved this with constant self-reflection and peer review, as well as taking on extra training courses alongside work, such as the Trinity CertTESOL. While consistently growing, my lessons became increasingly engaging.
2018 - 2019
Homeroom TeacherMIK International School - Beijing, ChinaDuring my time with MIK, I taught two classes. The first group were aged 3 to 4 and the second class were 5 to 6 years old. The level of English at this school was much higher that at my previous job, which enabled to diversify my teaching abilities beyond straight language instruction. The school methodology is to focus on 7 ‘smarts’, including language, maths, nature and science. Being the student’s sole teacher all day, 5 days a week, aloud me to work my lesson
plans around each student.
2020 - 2021
Homeroom TeacherLaurus International School of Science - Tokyo, JapónAs Homeroom Teacher, I am in charge of a class of 20 students aged 4 and 5. My duties at this job were similar to my previous kindergarten position in Beijing but with added focus on science as a curriculum base. This job has helped me develop my teaching skills in STEM areas, particularly mathematics. During the first wave lockdown of schools in Japan in the spring of 2020, I had the opportunity to develop my online teaching skills.
