A fantastic lesson with Herielbys! We started with simple topics, such as the weather, but soon moved onto the challenging topics of the subjunctive and the imperfect subjunctive. Of course I insisted on telling her some jokes in Spanish. She repeated them for me. They sounded much better when she told them. THIS LADY CAN TELL A JOKE! Highly recommended. Gracias Herielbys!

If you want to learn Spanish in a thoughtful and patient environment where the teacher speaks clearly Herielbys is the teacher you want to select. She is good at putting you at ease and helping you feel comfortable with practicing your Spanish. She is excellent at drawing out a conversation and asking relevant, thoughtful questions. She is equally as good at listening to a person read and correcting pronunciation even when she has to do it repeatedly for the same word. She is easily one of my favorite teachers on italki. I would recommend her for the anxious adult, the shy child, or anyone with a curious mind. She is always happy and ready to work to help you communicate better in Spanish.
