As for me, the best way to learn a new language is to speak it! Most of my students are adults and teenagers. I pay attention to every side of language such as pronunciation, grammar and lexical material. Usually I stay in touch with my students even if our goals are achieved. I am pleased to know about their achievements, like moving to a new country, finding a new job and friends. They are feeling confident in their new life with the new language.

As a person who's learned 3 foreign languages from a beginner to a proficient level, I'd like to say that it is an exciting adventure to new culture and the world! That is because when you learn a new language, you not only learn new grammar and new words, you also learn new culture and new way of thinking. There is a proverb in Turkish language: "You live a new life for every new language you speak. If you know only one language, you live only once". I've been working as a teacher for a long time. I have a master's degree in linguistics apart from being a teacher for over 4 years now, and I've always been very understanding with my students. What's more, I'm a student myself (Spanish, yay!) and I can totally relate to how one feels at their first steps of learning.

I started to teach when I was 19 and I never regret about this professional choice. My youngest student was 6, my oldest one - 72 when they firstly came into classroom. All my teaching experience shows that human brain is a mystery and everyone has his/her own way of learning. My goal is not interrupt, but motivate and facilitate your own learning process.

Last year I have been doing teaching assistantship at my university in "Russian as a foreign language" program. This assistantship required me to help preparing materials for the lesson, checking homework and working with those students who needed extra lessons and help. Due to the quarantine college lessons were transferred to Zoom, so I have gained some experience in online teaching as well.
